Poonam is brought up by her uncle (Alok Nath) and aunt (Seema Biswas). Prem is a soft-spoken man who may have studied abroad, but retains his respect for family traditions and values. Prem and Poonam are engaged and the marriage is to take place after six months. The two now enter the most magical and romantic time of their lives. Poonam cares for him becoming his inspiration to become someone on his own. Prem reciprocates her love in a touching moment.
Performance:
Shahid Kapoor did his best as Prem. He is exceptional in emotional sequences. Amrita Rao got to perform a different role and she did it efficiently. Anupam Kher performed well as a father. Alok Nath has got an outstanding performance as an uncle. Mohnish Behl's brief role was interesting. Seema Biswas was alright. The others did upto the content. Music and direction are alright. Story and screenplay are fine. The other technical aspects are adequate.
