Debutante directors Raksha Mistry and Hasnain S Hyderabadwala have come out with an
interesting plot for 'The Killer'. The film has shades of the Hollywood flick 'Collateral'. The
director duo have adapted the script to suit the tastes of Indian audiences. They have
succeeded in their attempt to present a different film.
Nikhil (Emraan Hashmi) is a cabbie in Dubai. He dreams of collecting enough money to
open up a travel agency and settle with his love Rhea (Nisha Kothari), a bar dancer by
profession. Nikhil's life takes a turn when a killer named Vikram (Irrfan Khan) hires his cab
for the entire night. Vikram is a professional killer and he is in Dubai with a mission to
eliminate the people in a single night. He is a contract killer appointed by a don Jabbar who
is being hunted by the cops.
Vikram intends to carry out his job like a complete professional. But Nikhil soon realizes that
he has been trapped and has to find a way to get out of this. After a lot of trial, Nikhil finally
decides to transform himself into a personality that could counter-attack Vikram. And to
know whether he succeeds in his attempt, watch the film on the screen.
Performance:
Emraan has done a good job as a cabbie and a true lover. His conversations with Irrfan
Khan are interesting. Irrfan Khan has done an excellent job as a killer. He well suited the
role. This makes us to realize his talent. Nisha Kothari oozes charm. Her chemistry with
Emraan is picturised well. Zakir Hussain played the role of a baddie with lots of ease. The
others did upto the content. The music given by Sajid-Wajid is good. Unlike other films, 'The
Killer' has a new look. All the technical aspects are fine.
