'Rafoo Chakkar' is Directed by B.H.Tharun Kumar. The director has come up with an interesting plot in mind but
then he has failed to come up with the required ammunition in the form of presentation or the narration. This is not
a entertinement film it is a silent film.
A stale tale, the story begins with two brothers Munnu (Aslam Khan) and Pappu (Yudhishtir) who grow up rich and
are spoiled to the core. Their father (Ananth Mahadevan) is more on the stricter side and in order to put an end to
their antics decides to get them married off. On knowing this, both brothers escape from home and in their
journey they come across Julie (Cyrus) and Millie (Nisha) who are also out with an exact background. In no time
both Munnu and Pappu fall for Julie and Millie respectively.
Ironically, the marriages that have been fixed are actually between the said pairs only. During one instance, both
the girls are saved by the spinster sisters Kokila (Archana Puran Singh) and Koena (Mita) from the hands of
goons. They have their own set of issues as they hate men to the core but their dying father's last wish is to see
them married. He also puts in a clause that the entire property will be given away to a trust if they don't get
married before they turn 45. Both sisters have just 24 hours in their hand and luckily for them Munnu and Pappu
break into their house only to get overpowered and emerge as the prospective grooms for the duo. And what
happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Presentation:
The major drawback of the movie is the script which was written weakly and the screenplay went wrong. The
music was just about okay and did not prove its presence and the camera was barely okay. There are few points
that make you laugh thanks to some witty dialogues but apart from that there is nothing else. On the other hand,
there is Aslam Khan and Yudhistir who tried to give their best efforts and made through it gracefully but then
Yudhistir still needs to work on his expressions. Nauheed looked sexy and did her bit for justice while Nisha still
needs to work on her skills in a big way. Shakti Kapoor and Sadashiv Amrapurkar were grossly underutilized,
Ananth Mahadevan was elegant. The real show stealer was Tinnu Anand who was hilarious. Archana did not have
much to do since she has seen it all but then Mita surely looked alien in this environment.
