Synopsis: 'Zamaanat' pairs Big B opposite Vijayashanti (Popular Telugu heroine also nick named 'lady Amitabh') for the first time and also stars Karisma Kapoor and Arshad Warsi playing the romantic lead. Music is by Viju Shah and has been released but it seems to fall out of time more due to delay in the process of filmmaking. The story line is cliched and is about an honest lawyer's effort to protect and fight for truth.
Big B plays a middle-aged blind lawyer who tries to defend an innocent person. Ramanathan also thought of changing the title of the movie to Godfather but later decided to stick to Zamaanat as it might give the impression that the movie is based on the underworld. The film has been shot in Film City Madras (Chennai) and various other locations in the South.
