Synopsis Two years after enthralling the movie world with his highly acclaimed movie 'Black', director Sanjay Leela Bhansali returns
with 'Saawariya'. The movie introduces two newcomers Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. Ranbir is the son of Rishi Kapoor while
Sonam is the daughter of Anil Kapoor. It is a love story between two youngsters. 'Saawariya' is expected to be rich in
visual imagery typical of Bhansali's style.
'Saawariya' is the first movie by Sanjay which casts newcomers. He is said to have met the actors during his 'Black' days.
The director is said to have done lot of homework to make the newcomers give their best. This time Bhansali has banked on
new music director Monty Sharma, who did the background score for 'Black'. The music is already a hit. The film has 11 songs
of which one number called "Thode Badmash Ho Tum" is composed by the filmmaker himself. It is a tune that Bhansali had been
humming for many years.
The film's cinematography is by Ravi K Chandran who has given a blue and green hue to the film. Most of the movie was shot
in the misty night-light that was artificially created in the studios. Before the shooting commenced, Bhansali reportedly
asked Chandran to give a surrealistic shade to the visuals. And Chandran seems to have done a good job. 'Saawariya' is all
set to release on November 9th as Diwali Dhamaka. Don't miss it. | |
