Nitin Manmohan's latest venture 'Nayee Padosan' is full of comical situations and promises to be wholesome family entertainer. The movie has new starcast, it tells the story of a suburban locality in all the quirky twist and turns occur.
Coming to story, Raju (Anuj Sawhney) falls in love, at first sight, with the new neighbour Pooja (Mahek Chahal). Wannabe Michael Jackson (Aslam Khan) too decides to leave pop and join the classical band to woo his Poo (Pooja). Ram's (Vikas Kalantri) astrologer says that only marriage could bring him luck and hence Pooja would be the best choice.

A series of hilarious wooing attempts later, the trio find a fourth competitor in the form of Prabhu (Rahul Bhatt), a favourite of both Pooja and her family. What follows is an absolute laugh riot, since Prabhu combines all the expertise of being a carnatic vocalist, black belt and an expert at kitchen work. After a strings of hits and misses who finally wins the cup (Pooja) is anyone's guess. The film ends with the trio trying to woo another girl.
The title track of the film is catchy. Mahek Chahal's role as a simple Tamilian has been well portrayed. Rahul Bhatt's comedy is good. Attempts by all the competitors to impress Pooja are funny. Sameer's lyrics and the musical trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy form a perfect combination to provide good music. Choreographer is good. Lyrics by Sameer are good.
