'Namastey London' is directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. This is his third film after the
phenomenal success of 'Aankhen' and 'Waqt'. 'Namastey London' is entirely different
from the two. The director along with the story writer Suresh Nair, have blended
romance, drama and humour in right proportions. Vipul is sure to win the hearts of
the audience.
Story:
Manmohan (Rishi Kapoor) brings his daughter Jasmeet aka Jazz (Katrina Kaif) from
London to India. He gets Jazz married to Arjun (Akshay Kumar), a rough and tough
farmer who can barely speak English. But Jazz is equally determined to marry Charlie
Brown (Clyde Stenden), her British boyfriend. Arjun, whose joy knows no bounds
when he marries Jazz, turns to despair when he realizes that she is not happy with the
marriage and wants to marry her boyfriend. But Arjun still loves Jazz very much and
decides to make her happy. How all things are set right and Arjun gets Jazz back into
his life, is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Akshay Kumar steals the show. This is one of his finest performances so far. Katrina
looks gorgeous. She has come back with her a spirited performance yet again. Rishi
Kapoor is efficient. Upen Patel has a substantial role which he carries off brilliantly.
Riteish Deshmukh's special appearance is wonderful. Nina Wadia suits the role of
Katrina's mother. Clyde Stenden excells as Katrina's boyfriend. The others did upto
the content. Music by Himesh Reshammiya is excellent. Choreography is fine.
Dialogues are interesting. Story and screenplay are the highlights of the film. Direction
is good. The other aspects are alright.
