Mukhbiir

'Mukhbiir' is Directed by Mani Shankar. The director has come out with an interesting subject and though the presentation had its plus points, the narration was out of order. The Director came with a diffent story but he falailed when he comes on the screen.

A good subject wasted, the movie is about a young man (Sammir) who has no life of his own but lives the life of many others in masked faces and different identities. He keeps moving on from face to face executing out missions and so demanding is his job that he has to be a cold blooded animal to achieve his targets. So much so, that at one point of time he does not have any inhibitions in blowing the brains out of his handler. Finally, he gets into one strong mission for which he gets converted to Islam and then gets into a gang. Slowly, he grows up and reaches the top only to come in a face to face situation with the kingpin (Rahul Dev) of the terrorists. All this apart, he also has a love angle in the form of the pretty girl (Raima Sen) who falls for him in a jiffy. Does he get successful in his mission? Is he able to lead a life like any other average person? And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.

Presentation:
The real culprit to the film is the script which has been shoddily written and the editing which was missing out on key points, not much can be said about the music but then the camerawork was effective. The pace of the movie was confusing and caused disturbance. Sammir was perhaps taking too much to digest with a very complicated role and that too with some of the mightiest stars by his side. He did his best but he could have been better, Raima was not at all required so no clue why she was there. Om Puri was excellent while Sushant Singh was a stunner, Jackie was grossly underutilized while Suniel Shetty was average. Rahul looked bad enough but did not have much substance. Alok Nath was fantastic again, Kelly was okay.

Verdict:Average
