How is Mumbai Se Aya Mera Dost faring at the box office?
It is doing average business, I'm told.
Do you regret doing any of your previous films?
I don't regret anything in life. I am not in the habit of looking back and scratching up the past.
Do you try to be Amitabh Bachchan?
Yes, I think every child in India wants to be Amitabh Bachchan at some point of time. So do I. Moreover, I do it because I want to be the best and he is undoubtedly the best.
Who has more influence on your acting: Your mom or dad?
They both have created unique styles of acting in the industry. I admire both of them equally and need to learn from both.
Do you take help from them when you are stuck with a scene?
Yes, I do call them up when I am stuck. They explain how I could do it and not how I should do it.
Does criticism affect you? You have been described as a stiff actor. Does that bother you?
Sure, I feel bad. You do a movie putting your heart and soul into it. But I accept other people's viewpoints. I accept them constructively. I love my work. Call me a stiff actor, but I do my job.
Are there critics at home too?
My sister is one of my biggest critics and measures me at different parameters. Mom looks at me as a son first. Dad also keeps giving me advice from time to time.
What do want to change about yourself?
Meri naak, mere baal, mera chehra, sab badalna hai.
If given a chance to re-do a film from your father's box of classics, which one would it be?
I would love to act in a movie like Agneepath.
Are you over with the Karisma episode?
I think I am here to promote my movie and not to discuss my personal life.
Why aren't you open to personal questions?
I think it is my prerogative to answer the questions I want to.
