'Hulla' is Directed Jaideep Varma. The director has come up with a good concept and though the
presentation has been nice, the narration could have been a lot better. The Director main intentios is
that to entertine the audiance but he is failed in that.
A creative tale, the story begins with the young couple who move in newly to a two bedroom
apartment. Raj (Sushant) works as a stockbroker and as his profile suggests he is a rather aggressive
and quick paced guy, meanwhile his beautiful wife Abha (Kartika) works as a marketing executive. Life
is all hunky dory until the nights set in and Raj being a light sleeper is unable to take rest, thanks to the
constant whistling by the security guard.
Unable to take it any longer, Raj goes down one night and sternly warns the guard from whistling so
often. In comes Janardhan (Rajat Kapoor), the secretary of the building who takes the side of the
guard and instructs that the whistling must be on. This small issue creates an altercation between Raj
and Janardhan and from then on it becomes an avalanche of issues. Raj starts getting quite finicky at
home and is annoyed at the slightest noise. He is unable to focus on work and his concentration is
lapsing.
Presentation:
The dialogues are witty, the script is tight at many points but loses grip too. Screenplay is strictly
above average but the music suited the moods very well. Editing has failed big time but the pace has
been maintained most of the time. Sushant has come up with an exceptional performance and sharing
marks with him is Rajat Kapoor whose appearance was worth it, Kartika was naturally beautiful while
the others like Darshan Zariwala, Mandeep, Vrajesh Hirjee etc have come out with some valuable
contributions to the story.
