'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd' is directed by Reema Kagti. The director has taken experienced cast. The movie is about six married couples on a
package honeymoon to Goa. It is combinely produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The director succeeds in churning out a good
subject which is different from the routine movies.
Story:
The six couples are Aspi (Abhay Deol) and Zara (Minissha Lamba), Oscar Fernandez (Boman Irani) and Nahid (Shabana Azmi), Partho Sen
(Kay Kay Menon) and Milly Sen (Raima Sen), Pinky (Amisha Patel) and Vicky (Karan Khanna), Madhu (Sandhya Mridul) and Bunty (Vikram
Chatwal), Hitesh (Ranvir Shorey) and Shilpa (Dia Mirza).
The film starts with Shilpa crying as she boards the bus. Her husband assures her parents that she will return with a smile on her face. But there is
a twist in their love story. Partho Sen and Milly Sen is a Bengali couple. The couple is perfect. The couple of Oscar Fernandez and Nahid is a
matured one. The reasons that bring them together are justified. Aspi and Zara is the youngest couple. It is surprise to see the couple of Pinky and
Vicky on screen. Madhu and Bunty is yet another couple wherein one has varied emotions towards the other. Above all these, there is also a
story involving the bus driver (Darshan Jariwala) and his nephew.
Performance:
Abhay Deol does good job. Minissha Lamba looks gorgeous and does well as Zara. Boman Irani needs no special mention. His performance is
of first rate. Shabana's role as Boman's wife is interesting. Kay Kay is fine. Sandhya is efficient. Dia Mirza is superb. Arjun Rampal's cameo is just
catchy. Amisha Patel looks sexy in her dressing and has done a good job. Raima Sen is sweet and simple in her getup. Karan Khanna is
brilliant. Darshan, as a driver, is upto the mark. Ranveer Shorey is okay. Music by Vishal and Shekhar is good. All the songs are catchy.
Cinematography is good. Dialogues are good. Film's narration is of first rate. All the other technical aspects are alright.
