Hrithik Roshan can't step into Big B's shoes The character portrayal of the 'Agneepath' protagonist Vijay Dinanath Chauhan won Amitabh his
first National Award. The superstar was breathtaking as a fearless, seething son who wants to take
revenge for his father's death from a gangster. But doing justice to a role enacted by Big B is no
cake walk for any actor. Karan's first choice to play the role in the modern 'Agneepath' was
Hrithik.
But as per sources, Hrithik has politely turned down the project. He appears a bit hesitant, or
perhaps apprehensive, to fit in to the character of the famous Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. Besides
that, Hrithik's busy date diary is also playing the culprit. Karan wants to start the film by early 2010,
but that is not possible for Hrithik, who has allotted his dates to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish.
Abhishek, who has got the same charm, if not as much talent, as his father, is now supposed to star
in the 'Agneepath' remake. Karan has reportedly approached Abhishek for the remake. The original
film was produced by his dad Yash Johar. Incidentally, 'Agneepath' is one of Abhishek's favourite
films of his dad. But would the son look convincing in a role immortalized by his father remains to
be seen?
