Katrina Kaif perfects her Hindi for Rajniti Katrina Kaif, who was often criticised for her anglicised accent, has managed to render pages of pure Hindi dialogues in
Prakash Jha's Rajniti. "She used to practice for hours together day after day. I trained her for New York and Rajniti. She is
a very determined and dedicated actress. Once she sets her heart out she manages to achieve whatever she wants. She
calls me up before every shoot if she has any difficulty." However, while Katrina has worked very hard, the credit has to go
Vidur who has been training the actress for months on end. Vidur, who trains actors and actresses from his acting
academy Kreating Charakters in Mumbai says that it is a real challenge when training actors who are not from a "film
family". "Actors who aren't from families with a film background have limited general knowledge on filming which makes
shaping them up more difficult. However, they are more patient and hardworking," says Vidur.
During his 18-year long career Vidur has trained everybody right from Akshay Khanna, Hrithik Roshan, Fardeen Khan to
Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor. "They have all been brilliant. They have a background
and know acting plus these star children have all worked as assistants in the direction department. They just needed to be
polished. I remember Ranbir giving his first clap at the age of eight," he says fondly. |
