'Karzzzz' debutante takes the plunge Shweta Kumar daughter of producer director Indra Kumar is excited about her debut venture 'Karzzzz'.
The actress will be playing the role that Tina Munim played in the remake of the same film. "It's very similar
to the original. I play an innocent, chirpy yet very modern girl, who is in love with Monty and is possessive
and protective about him," says Shweta.
Shweta has been paired opposite Himesh, who is twice her age. "Frankly speaking, I knew I would be
paired opposite him. Director Satish Kaushik approached me with the role and explained this to me. I had
no qualms about it. In spite of the age difference, he does not look old. We looked good on screen. He's a
rock star. He has composed and sung so many hit numbers. He has also lost a lot of weight for this role
and worked on his looks. He's done complete justice to the role," she says.
Being the daughter of a director who has so many hits, Shweta had the choice of debuting under her
father's guidance. "Yes my father asked me about it. He left it to me. He was worried about how
comfortable I would be. But I felt I should have the experience of facing the camera with an outside banner
too. I knew everybody on the sets so I decided to take the plunge," she adds. |
