Soha wants to shed 'serious' tag Soha Ali Khan, who has been portraying serious roles for a long time now, is all set to shed that image in Aditya
Shastri's forthcoming venture 99. The actress reveals that she is tired of the "serious" tag, and looks forward to some
great commercial cinema to add to her list of films. Her latest offering 'Mumbai Meri Jaan', is a film based on the
terrorist attacks in Mumbai, while Khoya Khoya Chand also showed her in a serious mood. "Khoya Khoya Chaand
was a film from a different genre. My character had different shades, while 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' was an emotional film. I
am looking forward to something different now. I need some fun and frolic, and 99 will show me exactly in that light,"
says the actress.
What exactly does 99 signify? "Oh! It is all about life… how we feel when we fail to achieve our aims. All of us want to
score a century in life, but on missing that score we feel disgusted. But each one believes in trials. Being put to the test,
one needs to pass with flying colours. God helps them those who help themselves and success is bestowed upon
those who choose to fulfill their dreams," says Soha. When asked what, according to her, sums up Bollywood, Soha
says "Bollywood according to me is magic a costume drama with loads of entertainment. The silver screen depicts
tales with different characters who try to portray the reality on reel. Bollywood brings the history past present and future
in an intriguing manner within a short span of three hours." |
