Salman's reality bites 
A lot has been said about Salman Khan's good nature and friendliness. His innate goodness
surfaces impulsively and at the most unexpected moments. Now that he has a platform to
interact with a live audience, Salman does many things very spontaneously. Sources reveal that
Salman gifted BMC sweeper Ghanshyam Baman, a cheque backstage. He also united an estranged
family on the sets. He has helped scores of people with their problems without any fanfare and
publicity.
But what is more surprising is that the actor has become more open about his family and his
relationships of late. Salman often talks about his parents and his brothers on his television
game show, 10 Ka Dum, with the contestants. Recently the actor talked about how his
Maharashtrian mother, Salma, had eloped with his Pathan father Salim Khan many years ago and
his maternal grandfather had not forgiven his daughter until after Sohail was born. Once his
grandfather met Salim and got to know the man, he would send Salma back home to her husband
when she had tiffs with him.
"Hosting this show has given me new insights into people and life at large and I have realised
that love is the greatest motivation. It gives my audience a high because they can be seen on
television but nothing compares to the high that I experience when I interact with so many
loving fans and people who I would never have a chance to meet or get their blessings," says
