Genelia is back in Bollywood
Genelia D'Souza started her Bollywood career with K Vijaya Bhaskar's "Tujhe
Meri Kasam" starring Ritesh Deshmukh and the lead pair have been
romantically linked ever since. Neither acknowledges that there is anything
more than "just friendship" between them. When asked about Ritesh, she
sternly said, "I am not dating him. There is nothing between us."
Genelia, who has been busy doing films down South, like Shankar's Boys and
Bhaskar's "Bommarillu" opposite Siddharth of "Rang De Basanti fame", is now
shifting her focus back to the Bollywood scene. She was last seen in Indra
Kumar's Masti starring Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Amrita
Rao and Lara Dutta.
"I have done many films down south, but I don't regret it at all. I got good
offers so I took them up and this year, I have quite a few Bollywood
releases Priyadarshan's Mere Baap Pehle Aap with Akshaye Khanna, Om Puri,
Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. I play a young, bubbly girl in the movie.
Then there is Abbas Tyrewala's "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" with Imran Khan, Aamir
Khan's nephew. I have also signed a film with "Harman Baweja", which is a
remake of my Telugu film "Bommarillu."
