Shah Rukh to start shooting for 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' in May Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently busy with the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches starting from April 18th, will begin shooting for 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' in May. The movie marks the return of Aditya Chopra as a director after eight years. Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan also stars in the movie that has Sonam Kapoor, daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, in the lead of the film which trade circles describe as a love story between a 40-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl.
However, sources in Yashraj Films are tight lipped on the cast opposite Shah Rukh as well as the film's story which will be set in Punjab. Slated for release on December 12th, Sanjeev Kohli, Director and CEO of Yashraj Films, said that for the past eight years, Aditya has put his energies on building Yashraj Films into India's first production house built on the studio model and shaping it into a creative nerve centre that has nurtured some of India's best screenwriters, directors and stars.
He said 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' will make audiences think of the magic touch that has made Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge the longest running motion picture in the history of Indian cinema. Unlike many of his stories and screenplays including 'Veer Zaara', this film will capture the hearts across the globe all over again, he claimed |
