Raveena finds Mr Right!
First things first. Bollywood beauty Raveena Tandon's visage has an extra glow these days — not to mention the extra spring in her step and the song on her lips.
As most would have guessed already, love's got everything to do with it. Mr Right answers to the name of Anil Thadani, a film distributor by profession.
"He is the nicest person I know. I pray that all goes well with us," says an ecstatic Raveena of her beau.
Of course, the obvious question: when and how did Cupid strike? "I met Raveena while distributing her film Stumped. Slowly, I got to know her well, and now, I am very fond of her. My family loves her too," says the normally media-shy Anil.
Yesterday, moviedom's Mast-Mast maiden celebrated her birthday with the 34-year-old Anil

Shah Rukh packs a big punch
Heads turn as soon as he arrives at Film City on the suburbs of the city to shoot for Main Hoon Na . Though his neck and back problems haven't gone away, Shah Rukh Khan has a kind word for everyone on location. He enters his van where he's joined by close friend and choreographer-turned-director Farha Khan. They discuss their scenes together.
Shah Rukh has his lunch and urges everyone else to join him. Farha Khan declines saying she'd rather have the lunch that Zayed Khan brings from home.
In the next van, co-star Sushmita Sen is all dressed and ready to hit the floor. She looks absolutely stunning in a skyblue saree. She and Shah Rukh Khan make a deadly pair.
There's no scrounging on the sets of Main Hoon Na . Everything, from the food to the shots is done with well-oiled precision. "Even when we aren't shooting for a song-and-dance we're rehearsing for some choreographic event in the film," chuckles Sushmita.
Her new release Samay may not have clicked the way it was expected but Sushmita is very proud of what she has achieved in the role of a tough cop in the film. And now Main Hoon Na could be the most macho film ever made in this country by a woman. So pulsating are the punches that action hero Sunil Shetty fell ill on the sets for running a low blood pressure.

This film took Big B eight years
Zamaanat preview
An absolute shocker, but it's true: One of Amitabh's films - Zamaanat - has been in the making for the last eight years.
Producer–director S Raamanathan, who in the past had made successful films with Amitabh like Geraftaar, Gangaa Jamunaa Saraswathi and Bombay To Goa is currently making Zamaanat , co-starring Arshad Warsi, Karisma and Vijayshanti.
We don't know what took so long for the project to be completed, but we are sure it's fit for the Guinness Book of Records for this lengthy shooting spell.
Music is by Viju Shah and has been released but it seems to fall out of time more due to delay in the process of filmmaking. The story is about an honest lawyer's effort to protect and fight for truth.
Big B plays a middle-aged blind lawyer who tries to defend an innocent person. Ramanathan also thought of changing the title of the movie to Godfather but later decided to stick to Zamaanat as it might give the impression that the movie is based on the underworld, reports said.
The film has been shot in Film City, Chennai, and various other locations in the South.

Tabu bowled by Ganguly
Actress Tabu has suddenly got a special taste for everything that is Bengali. She has also made a new Bengali friend — Indian cricket skipper Sourav Ganguly.
Tabu’s growing friendship with Ganguly is the talk of town. When asked about the rumour, Tabu laughed it off saying, “Oh, this is ridiculous! I have met him precisely twice in my life.”
But according to industry grapevine, the actress’ special love for Bengal may have been triggered by her new-found friendship with Ganguly. The cricketer too seems to be a great fan of the versatile actress. When contacted, Ganguly’s wife remarked, “Why don’t you call Sourav and ask him?”
The cricketer, however, refused to speak to the paper. But Tabu does not deny that she knows Ganguly very well. “I have visited his house and had dinner with his family,” she admits. What is strange though is that instead of sharing a “just friendship” relationship, none of the parties are very open about it.
In the past, Ganguly has been linked with South Indian actress Nagma, who after much prodding accepted her relationship with Sourav Ganguly and reportedly stated that she did not regret it. She even added that Ganguly may have had his own reasons for going back to his wife.
On the other hand, Tabu has just had her first Bengali release. Although the film Abar Aranye did not have a great run at the box-office, Tabu’s efforts have been appreciated. Unlike Aishwarya Rai, Tabu dubbed for Abar Aranye herself.
Friendship between filmstars and cricketers is nothing new in this country. Besides, filmstars and cricketers often are part of the same social circuit and so are bound to get friendly.
Many a times their friendship does lead to a romantic link-up. But unlike the story about Raveena Tandon and Rahul Dravid or Azharuddin and Sangeeta Bijlani, this case, according to those involved is just “friendship.”

Bride And Prejudice in final stages
Bride and Prejudice is London-based Indian director Gurinder Chadha's latest venture aimed at international and Indian audience after the successful and widely acclaimed Bend It Like Beckham.
"Pride And Prejudice has been my all-time favourite," says Chadha. "I am happy to make a film on the novel that is so close to my heart. I have tried to be very faithful to it and have only added some songs to give the film a Bollywood touch. I want people all over the world to be aware of Bollywood. I hope they will know more about our industry through this film.
"We have been shooting non-stop for three months and 10 days. The last phase of the film will be shot in Los Angeles," Chadha adds. Some parts of the film will also be shot in Goa and Amritsar.
The film includes a song picturised on US pop singer Ashanti. On location, co-stars Aishwarya Rai and New Zealander Martin Henderson were seen trying some bhangra steps along with Chadha, to bhangra music and the dhol.
Henderson of The Ring fame essays Mr Darcy's role in the film. Other cast members like Anupam Kher, Namrata Shirodkar, Naveen Andrews and Meghna Kothari were also present on the occasion.
"I play Mr Bakshi, the father of four daughters," says Kher. "I have played a quieter role than my previous one in Bend It Like Beckham. There, I played a sardarji even though I'm not a sardar."
Henderson claims to be happy to be part of the project. "I especially love the bhangra and garba," he says, smiling. "It was an amazing experience. I have also picked up a few Hindi words like chalo, jaldi karo."
Rai refuses to divulge details about her role. "If I tell you, who will see the film?" she asks. "It is better I talk less as people would see my role in this film."
