Cast: Madhuri Dixit, Konkana Sen, Kunal Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Irrfan Khan, Darshan Zariwala Director:Anil Mehta Producer:Aditya Chopra Music:Salim, Sulaiman Date of Release: Nov 30th, 2007

Madhuri Dixit makes a comeback after some gap with 'Aaja Nachle'. The film is directed by cinematographer turned director Anil Mehta. The film has noting new to offer except for Madhuri's dance. Produced by Aditya Chopra, 'Aaja Nachle' is just an average venture made on the reputed banner of Yashraj Films.
Dia (Madhuri Dixit) returns from the US to meet her dying dance guru Makarand (Darshan Zariwala). The man dies before she makes it to Shamli, her hometown where she learned to dance and live. Later she comes to know that the local politicians and big wigs like Raja Saheb (Akshaye Khanna) and Farookh (Irrfan Khan) are planning to pull down Ajanta Theatre, the institution where she learned to dance. With the help of Doctor (Raghuvir Yadav), the caretaker of Ajanta, Dia sets on a mission to prevent the demolition and resurrect the spirit of Ajanta. She also takes the help of her few friends in this mission. She has only two months to prove her point and to save Ajanta theatre.
Performances:
The film is all about Madhuri Dixit. She dances well. This is sure to be one of her best performances so far. Konkana Sen is natural throughout. She is sweet and simple. Kunal Kapoor looks handsome. Darshan Zariwala as Madhuri's guru is alright. Irrfan Khan is okay. Akshaye Khanna is superb. The others have done justice to their roles. Music by Salim-Sulaiman is not upto the mark. Choreography is good. Story by Aditya Chopra and Jaideep Sahni should have been better. Direction is fine. The other technical aspects are okay.
